There are people who do not need to do much to be noticed. A glance, a posture, a discreet smile… and the atmosphere shifts. Leslie is one of them. Since August 2023, she has been composing her own score at Synergix as a commercial apprentice, balancing her classes at André-Chavannes with team life at the heart of the accounting department. And even if she spends much of her day working with numbers, you might say that her life itself is set to music.
Act I – Curtain Up
Before trial balances, there were theatre stages, sketches and sheet music. At college, Leslie followed a full-time general education programme with an artistic focus, combining academic studies with creative expression through visual arts, music and drama. She developed her eye, her imagination and her sense of rhythm. Solid foundations for a sharp and curious mind.
But the next chapter did not unfold as planned: she completed her schooling in the middle of the pandemic. A suspended moment, as if the curtain had fallen too soon.
Rather than rushing ahead, Leslie took time to reflect. What she wanted now was to learn in the field, to work hands-on in the real world. She chose to pursue a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee with an integrated professional baccalaureate at André-Chavannes. For the company placement, she was looking for an environment where she could grow without compromising who she was.
One day, she came across a job advert. Curious, she clicked, explored, and read more. The tone of the website, the design, the energy immediately resonated with her. And the motto, We Get (Sh)it Done, sealed the deal. When Alex called her for an initial conversation, she already knew she wanted to take the leap. The curtain could rise again.
Act II – Numbers as a Score
From the outside, accounting hardly resembles a musical. Yet for Leslie, there is something of a score in it all. A precise script. A sequence of well-timed gestures. Downloading CAMT files, processing invoices, responding to internal queries. Everything must flow methodically, without a false note.
What she appreciates is the clarity. The precision. That moment when everything aligns. She learns quickly, refines her routines, asks questions and retains the answers. She builds her skills without ever missing a beat. Her goal for 2026 is clear: obtain her CFC and close this first major professional chapter with confidence and flair.
Act III – The Ensemble
At Synergix, Leslie quickly found her rhythm. The atmosphere is positive, the accounting team supportive, the exchanges straightforward. The work is serious, yet there is always room to laugh and unwind. One evening, the music played a little too loudly and the unexpected happened: an improvised Macarena in the office. She still laughs when she thinks about it.
The days unfold, marked by small victories, new competencies, well-managed emails and neatly balanced figures. Beyond the tasks, it is the human connection that carries her forward. She enjoys observing, understanding how each person works, and finding her place naturally, without forcing it.
Intermission – Behind the Scenes
Outside the office, Leslie has a world entirely her own. Gentle, discreet and creative, she often lives to music, sometimes quite literally. It is said that her life is a musical. And it is not just a joke.
A fan of Disney, sweeping orchestral songs, dance-filled films and romantic novels, she builds her daily life around drawing, cinema, dramatic fiction and luminous comedies. She resonates as much with Harry Styles as with the score of Epic: The Musical. She could rewatch Bridgerton endlessly, yet admits to a soft spot for Supernatural: dark storylines, epic duels and well-kept secrets. Speaking of secrets, she keeps one of her own close at hand: an ultra-flexible little finger, an unexpected fun fact that never fails to intrigue.
In 2025, she fulfilled a dream by setting foot in Scotland. Misty landscapes, a mystical atmosphere. The perfect setting for a fan of dramatic tales. There, she confirmed her love for places that tell a story, that have a soul. And if she were ever to change direction? She could see herself as an actress. Not surprising. The desire to embody, to perform, to explore the nuances of a character is already within her.
Act IV – Towards the Next Scene
In the short term, Leslie keeps her feet firmly on stage. Completing her apprenticeship. Building confidence. Gaining legitimacy. She does not rush. She moves forward with her own logic, her sensitivity and that quiet light you immediately notice in her eyes.
Later? Perhaps another diploma. Perhaps a new path. But always in Switzerland, always with the determination to grow without losing herself.
At Synergix, she has found more than a place to learn. She has found a framework that embraces her nuances, values her quiet strength and leaves room for daydreams as much as for accounting entries.
And for a first leading role, that is already a beautiful success.
