An Unexpected Calling, a Career with Meaning
Nothing in Joël’s early plans pointed towards a career in human resources. As a youngster, he wanted to become a police officer. But when he joined a Synergix client for what was meant to be a two-month assignment, he discovered the world of HR administration. That “short-term” role ended up lasting… six years! During that time, he tried his hand at everything: archiving, file management, internal training – enough to develop a comprehensive view of the profession.
Curious and driven, he decided to upskill: first gaining a diploma as a personnel management assistant, and now working towards his federal diploma in social insurance. A steady, natural growth in expertise – true to his way of doing things.
What convinced him to join Synergix 100% in 2022? The pleasure of working in a family environment, a relaxed atmosphere, and, above all, the satisfaction of truly knowing who he works for. A dream come true, both personally and professionally.
As he likes to say: “Nothing happens in life by accident.” A philosophy that guides him every day, whether in career choices or in dealing with life’s surprises.
Joël has also turned every assignment into an opportunity to learn. Juggling HR, administration, and training management has given him valuable agility. A Day in the Life of a Synergix HR Manager
On a typical day, Joël splits his time between payroll, HR administration, and supporting clients. He processes payrolls, prepares certificates, handles work permits, reports staff movements, and responds calmly and promptly to his clients’ HR queries.
His day starts with an email check, followed by HR and payroll tasks as priorities dictate. His role demands precision but also genuine skill in juggling diverse topics.
What he loves most about his work is solving complex situations and helping people. Providing simple solutions to not-so-simple problems – that’s his thing.
A memorable highlight: managing, as a service provider today, a client he once knew from the inside. Seeing both sides of the fence helps him better understand expectations.
But beyond the tasks themselves, what sets Joël apart is his human approach. He doesn’t treat HR cases as mere boxes to tick. Behind every request, he sees a situation, a person, a real need. And he takes the time to do things properly. It’s this attention to detail that makes all the difference.

A Life Full to the Brim (Even Outside Work)
When he leaves the office, Joël transforms… into a highly disciplined athlete. A sports enthusiast since childhood, he’s tried it all: judo, basketball, kickboxing, football (for 20 years!)… before finding his passion in natural bodybuilding. It’s a true lifestyle that he takes very seriously, with competitions already on his horizon (mark your calendars for 2026!).
For Joël, sport is more than a hobby: it’s structure, discipline, and a way to stay balanced. Early starts, regular training, meticulously planned meals… His dedication commands respect (especially when others are tempted by a lunchtime fondue!).
A few fun facts: he did circus arts at primary school (yes, really!) and plays online chess with colleagues, including Christian. Proof of his many talents.
His playlist? An explosive mix of Bad Bunny, Nekfeu, Sniper, and reggaeton. On Netflix, he’s into Marvel films, action series, or mini-thrillers à la Harlan Coben. And if he had to pick one iconic character? It would be Rocky, of course. For the discipline, the passion for pushing limits – and the iconic training soundtrack in the background.
One can only imagine the vibe when he switches from his HR screen to the weights room. Spoiler: there’s serious rhythm and clanging iron involved.
What Does the Future Hold?
Joël has no ambition to become the boss. What he’s looking for is to keep progressing in his field, deepen his expertise, and keep learning. He’s currently studying for his federal diploma in social insurance. Above all, he wants to maintain a healthy balance between his professional and personal life – sport, family, and the pleasure of working with people he enjoys.
He envisions staying in this balance, continuing to share his knowledge, and supporting clients with calm and precision. Hierarchy? Not really his thing. What he loves is being on the ground, where things are happening and where he can be useful.
