Since 2018, Julie Pignier has woven her place at Synergix with rigour, warmth, and sincerity. Starting as Business Development Manager, she is now Chief Operating Officer. A natural evolution for someone passionate about structure, management… and strong, united teams. Behind her discretion and elegance lies a solid, radiant professional, always on the move.

A Tailor-Made Journey

Julie did not follow a ready-made path — and that is precisely what makes her journey so rich. Drawn early on to languages and multidisciplinary studies, she chose a degree in Applied Foreign Languages, initially with the idea of teaching English. Yet her appetite for communication and marketing soon led her towards a Master’s in Annecy, punctuated by an Erasmus in Venice that fuelled her love for art, culture… and fashion.

With her diploma in hand, she moved to Milan, where she worked in a high-end prêt-à-porter showroom. An intense immersion in the creative world, sharpening her eye for detail. Yet despite the beauty of the setting, she missed the grounding of long-term vision. Returning to Geneva, she spent several years in a language training centre before joining one of the Big Four, where she managed bids across French-speaking Switzerland.

In 2018, she joined Synergix, eager to grow within a more agile structure — one where the impact of her work could be seen daily, and where she could thrive in human, caring management aligned with her values.

A Steady Rise

When Julie arrived at Synergix, she stepped into the role of Business Development Manager and rolled up her sleeves. She restructured the tender process, set up commercial follow-up procedures, and supported the creation of new mandates.

At the crossroads between clients, strategy, and teams, she gradually became a central figure: an interface, a silent but essential driving force. Very quickly, she became a trusted reference point within the team.

In 2023, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer. A natural transition — though not without questions. Without a technical background, Julie felt a personal pressure to “earn” the role.

Her answer? Work, understand, learn. She got involved in every mandate, asked questions, observed, read, requested demonstrations, and took notes. She learned at her own pace — but without pause.

Even today, she describes herself as a work in progress, following a mindset of continuous improvement. As she likes to put it: “Work in progress.”

A 360° COO, Synergix Style

Her role today? The cornerstone of the Synergix house. Julie manages, organises, anticipates, oversees. Her responsibilities span the entire operational spectrum — from teams to strategy, clients to tools. She supervises department heads in accounting, HR, and marketing, while ensuring overall coherence. She is involved in recruitment, job descriptions, and commercial flows. She coordinates new client onboarding, supports existing clients, ensures handovers, trains on IODD or Qlik, and guides tool selection.

Her role is demanding, multifaceted, ever-evolving. Yet she handles it with flexibility and constancy, always listening. Like in a couture workshop, she checks the finishing touches, adjusts the seams, spots tensions, and stitches them back when needed. She works on raw materials, but also keeps the final cut in mind. Her goal: that each piece holds together, that the whole feels smooth, solid, and well-fitted — with nothing sticking out.

The Rebranding: A Project in Her Image
If one project were to symbolise Julie’s journey, it would be the Synergix rebranding in 2022. A major undertaking carried out over ten months, resulting in a new logo, visual identity, website, and sharpened brand message. Julie coordinated the project from start to finish. It nourished her on many levels. Creatively, as she loves working on aesthetics, words, and visuals. Strategically, as Synergix’s positioning had to be clarified. And above all, humanly, as the process was co-constructed with the teams. A demanding, stimulating project — one that remains a great source of pride and a milestone in her commitment to ensuring Synergix shines with clarity and coherence.

An Atmosphere Tailor-Made

Why stay at Synergix for over six years? Because the working environment resonates deeply with her values. Julie distinguishes her professional and personal life, but places great importance on the quality of professional relationships. She values mutual trust, transparent communication, and the absence of unnecessary barriers between functions.

She also appreciates that here, people are recruited for who they are — not just what they know. What motivates her is the mix of profiles, the frank discussions, the daily humour. She loves to feel useful, to make things move forward, all while staying in her rightful place.

What Sets Her Apart

Julie is often described as organised — very, and proud of it. She is human, always; diplomatic when needed, available most of the time, and deeply caring. Yet behind this balanced posture is also a clear-sighted and demanding woman, one who does not seek to be right but to do what is right. She does not hesitate to question herself, to ask for feedback, to review a process if something feels off.

What strikes people most is her sincerity. Julie says what she thinks — directly, but always tactfully. She does not shy away from difficult topics — she addresses them with calm, honesty, and a sense of timing. A precious quality, especially when moving things forward without causing harm.

A Life Well-Cut, Like a Good Blazer

Sport, travel, music, fashion: Julie cultivates a balance between energy and elegance.

She chooses activities that let off steam — pilates, running, hiking — and sets off travelling whenever she can, with a dream in mind: to discover Namibia and Botswana.

When it comes to music, it’s silent focus at the office… but electro playlists as soon as she disconnects, with a newfound love for Tomorrowland sets.

Her time in Milan sharpened her fashion sense: she catches trends in her own way, never overdoing it.

On her bedside table: always a crime novel by Harlan Coben or Guillaume Musso. A fan of tightly woven plots, she devours thrillers.

And to end on a sweet note, she always spots the best chocolate fondant on the menu. A sure bet — just like her.

The Future in Fine Stitching

Julie does not dream of grand titles. What she wants: to stay aligned with her values, keep progressing, and preserve the pleasure of work well done.

Her ambition is simple but strong: to make sure everyone feels good. To that end, she continues to improve tools, adapt roles, and streamline exchanges.

An ongoing project, one she leads with calm and conviction.

Julie, the Couture COO

At Synergix, Julie Pignier is far more than an operational leader. She is the seamstress behind the scenes — adjusting folds, choosing the right threads, assembling fabrics, and making sure everything holds together, even when the machine overheats.

With her, nothing is left to chance. But everything is done with a smile.

So if you meet her between two client meetings, ask about her latest novel, her favourite podcast, or her most recent trip. She’ll share it all with as much warmth as precision.
